Miss Carol's School of Dance was founded in 1968 by Carol Krueger George, a graduate of Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University with a B.F.A. in Music. Miss Carol created unique dance experiences and has shared her knowledge in her manual, "The Joy of Dance for PreSchoolers." Copied by many, but taught by the best at Miss Carol's, each child receives the "original" dance curriculum. Since the dance school's inception, it has been dedicated to the highest standards of dance instruction. The school offers graded classes with individual attention in a positive and encouraging atmosphere. The school provides an enriching learning experience for the student who dances once or twice a week for the simple pleasure of it, as well as the pre-professional student aspiring to a career in dance.

We offer Classical Ballet and Pointe in primarily Russian technique, however, English, French and Italian styles are utilized, as well. Tap and Jazz are constantly being recreated, and our instructors remain current in all styles such as Traditional, Broadway, Soft Shoe, Jazzatap, Funk, Hip-Hop, Boogie, Lyrical, Rock, Disco and Theatre Dance. Olympic standards are the student's goals in Acrobatics and Gymnastics.

Our professional faculty share a commitment to young dancers. Each instructor must learn a specific curriculum for each class through training courses run during the summer. The teachers are college graduates, currently pursuing degrees, and/or home-grown teachers brought up at Miss Carol's knowing all the in's and out's! Our teachers enjoy sharing their gifts with the children, and it shows.
