The following are unique dance combination experiences suitable for boys and girls created by Miss Carol and her daughter, Miss Mary. All combination classes for school-age children include original curriculum which has pre-school songs and dances, basic ballet, tap for tots, tumbling, musical exercise, social awareness, steps and routines, with appropriate and exciting music! Your child will get the "original" dance curriculum. Copied by many, but taught by the best at Miss Carol's.

Students in NurseryStars through Elementary Combination TWO must wear Black Leotard either with the skirt ATTACHED or plain leotard with no skirt. Please do not purchase a separate skirt. Pink Capezio tights, Pink Revolution Ballet Shoes and Black Revolution Tap Shoes. In colder months, we offer Dance Sweaters in Pink or Black. The entire outfit averages between $69.50 to approximately $75.50 depending upon size of regular street clothing worn. Dance wrap sweaters are $25.00. Please have hair off the face in either a ponytail or bun. Dancers may not wear loose jewelry to class. Stud earrings are acceptable.

"NURSERYSTARS" (3&4's): 3 years old by October 1, 2007 to 4 years old by January 31, 2008.

"TODDLERIFICS" (4&5's): 4 years old by October 1, 2007 to 5 years old by January 31, 2008.

"KINDERDANCERS" (5&6's): 5 years old by October 1, 2007 to 6 years old by January 31, 2008.

"ELEMENTARY COMBINATION ONE " (6&7's): 6 years old by October 1, 2007 to 7 years old by January 31, 2008.

"ELEMENTARY COMBINATION TWO " (7&8's): 7 years old by October 1, 2007 to 8 years old by January 31, 2008.

LEVELS FOR ALL CLASSES

Level 1-Ages 7-9, Level 2-Ages 10-13, Level 3-Ages 13+ (with Teacher approval),
Level 4 - ( By placement only)

Classical Ballet: Ages 7 through Adult. Barre and centre technique, combinations and variations. Primarily Russian technique plus the best of English, French and Italian styles. Ballet students must comprehend and apply the skills and technique of turnout, classical line, traveling steps, turns and arm and body control before moving into a more advanced class. Students must wear Black Leotard with no skirt, Pink Capezio tights, and Pink Revolution Ballet Shoes. Please have hair off the face in either a ponytail or bun. Dancers may not wear loose jewelry to class. Stud earrings are acceptable.

Pointe: Ages 12 and up, Teacher recommendation only. Pointe is an advanced extension of classical ballet. The foot, ankle, leg and torso muscles must be strongly developed and the student must comprehend and execute correct body line. Ballet students on Pointe must take a minimum of two hours per week of Ballet 2 and 3 plus Pointe class. Pointe students must be outfitted with correct pointe shoes prior to pointe class. GymJazz: Ages 7 through 12. All the fun of hip-hop with the latest funky gymnastics moves! Students learn to combine dance and gymnastics through strength exercises and Horton based training. NEW! Highbar! Learn to support body weight on highbar and flip! Highbar is approximately 5'7" tall. GymJazz students wear Black Leotard, Tan Capezio tights, Black Capri Dance Pants NEW!, and Revolution Jazz Boots NEW! Hair must be in a ponytail and off the face. Please do not wear loose jewelry to class. Stud earrings are acceptable.

Jazz: Ages 13 through Adult. Jazz technique has its roots in ballet, tap and modern dance. Our teachers have studied with today's contemporary New York teachers and choreographers. Hip-Hop, Lyrical, Funk, Swing Dancing, Street Dancing, Traditional Broadway Musical Theater Jazz Dance ("Fosse") are taught. Jazz students wear Black Leotard, Tan Capezio tights, Black Capri Dance Pants NEW!, and Revolution Jazz Boots NEW! Hair must be in a ponytail and off the face. Please do not wear loose jewelry to class. Stud earrings are acceptable.

Tap: Ages 7 though Adult. Rhythm tap, soft shoe, jazztap, hip-hop tap, Flamenco influenced, "STOMP" style (tap with and on props), Irish-step style, "TAP DOGS" style (your taps make the music), Swing Dancing, and Broadway Musical styles are taught. Good exercise and Great Fun! Tap students wear Black Leotard, Tan Capezio tights, and Revolution Tap shoes. Hair must be in a ponytail and off the face. Please do not wear loose jewelry to class. Stud earrings are acceptable.

Modern/Contemporary: Ages 10-12 and Adult Ballet and Modern. Modern dance technique focuses on proper placement, strength training, partnering and lifting, musicality, lyrical interpretation through movement, and performance qualities. Modern students wear Black Leotard, Pink Capezio FOOTLESS tights, and Revolution Lyrical sandals. Hair must be in a ponytail and off the face. Please do not wear loose jewelry to class. Stud earrings are acceptable.

THEATER I and II. Ages 6-11 and 12+: Course includes but is not limited to: Song and Dance, Vocal Training, Acting, Improvisation with Others, Commercials, Costuming, Props and Scenery, Lighting, Headshots and Resumes (please see Miss Mary for separate pricing for Headshots and Resumes.) Theater students should wear loose comfortable clothing to class that allows them to move freely and stretch. No skirts or jeans, please. Dance shoes may be required in March when costumes arrive and preparation for the Recital is underway!
