MISS CAROL'S SCHOOL OF DANCE NAMESAKE, MISS
CAROL
Carol Krueger George: Miss
Carol has her B.F.A. in Music from Mason Gross School
of the Arts, Rutgers University. She studied dance
with Marion Chase, a protégé of Ruth
St. Denis; piano with Alexander Lipsky, noted teacher
and composer; and started performing professionally
at the age of 13 in Washington, D.C. She has taught
dance and music in Piscataway since 1967, and is
the founder of the Piscataway Cultural Arts Commission.
She was the President of the N.J. Dance Theatre
Guild and Ensemble for 35 years. Miss Carol was
named Piscataway's Woman of the Year in 1993. She
has taught exciting and challenging music courses
at RUALL! Miss Carol is retired but continues to assit her daughter, Miss Mary, in administration and artistic
development of the Dance School.

Mary Eckert - Director

Miss Mary studied dance with her mother, Miss
Carol, for 16 years, danced with the N.J. Dance
Theatre Ballet Company and studied ballet and
character dance at the Summer Academy of Ballet
in Bereznicki, Russia. Miss
Mary holds a B.F.A. in Dance from Rutgers University,
Mason Gross School of the Arts. She takes classes
in New York City. Miss Mary has greatly improved
upon the original dance curriculum developed by
her and Miss Carol. She is extremely proud
of the students from Miss Carol's who have gone
on to Julliard, NYC Ballet, The Famous Rockettes,
The N.J.D.T.E. and those who have been accepted
to dance with MTV and BET and students
who have been offered prestigious modeling and
acting positions! This is her 20th year teaching
and her tenth year as Director. Miss Mary thanks
the wonderful parents who are a constant source
of positive energy!
Deanna Destito: Miss Deanna has been dancing
since age 4 and has studied at various schools in New
Jersey and New York City, including the Dance Academy
of NJ and Broadway Dance Center. She holds a degree
in Theater and English from Montclair State University,
and has choreographed and appeared in many musical productions.
Miss Deanna has also appeared in many films, both mainstream
and independent. She is now instructing excellent piano/vocal and theater lessons at Miss Carol's as well as Dance classes! We warmly welcome her to her third
year at Miss Carol's!
Sam Ogilvie: Mr. Sam danced at Miss Carol's for 8 years! He has also trained at Princeton Ballet, Broadway Dance Center in NYC and at the Paper Mill Playhouse Musical Theatre Conservatory. He currently attends Piscataway High School where he is an active member of the PHS Drama department. Mr. Sam can be seen in community theatres throughout the state and has had leading roles at Plays in the Park, Roosevelt Park, Edison. He is excited to become part of Miss Carol's staff! |
